A visit to the Orange Juice State in July was undoubtedly the highlight of my summer of 2011. 

“Why Orange Juice?” you may ask. Why not call Florida by its official title - “Sunshine State”?  But isn’t summer “sunshine” shared by many states – a short stopover at Phoenix Airport gave witness to the intense sunshine (and heat) of its summer. I finished my first semester of high school. It was an interesting experience. Access to a typical education really was “long time no see” in my case and I thoroughly enjoyed the exposure to grade appropriate subjects. We did a unit on easily confused words in our English class. They do look very similar but would be weird if switched in a sentence. I have Cystic Fibrosis
I have Cerebral Palsy
I have Down’s Syndrome
I have a rare Chromosomal Disorder
Darn! I can’t even say its name

It could even be a Spectrum
Ranging from mild to tormenting
Autism, where no two kids are the same
A thousand disabilities with just one name

Blue funk haze, mist all around
